  • Pinetown Cemetery is the resting place of my grandparents and many other relatives.

The book, Pinetown Cemetery - Formerly St Mary's Cemetery by Aurolyn Hamm-White, documents the names and relatives of individuals buried there, including obituaries for many.

Pinetown Cemetery is currently managed by Jim-Ree Museum and maintained by volunteers.

  • This cemetery is owned and cared for by Jim-Ree Museum. It is located beside the lot that housed a former public school, Blackwell Memorial High School (also known as Blackwell Memorial Junior High School, Elbert County Middle School, and Elbert County Alternative School). Historically the interred once either lived nearby, in the Eastside Community of Elberton, Georgia or attended a nearby church that did not own a cemetery (i.e. Mount Calvary Baptist Church, New Era Baptist Church, St. Mary's C.M.E. Church, or Union Grove Baptist Church). Today, the newly interred tends to be a family member of someone who is buried in the Pinetown Cemetery.
